Mason A. Baldwin is the principal attorney at Bayside Counsel. Mason is an accomplished attorney offering comprehensive corporate legal counsel to help businesses navigate complex issues and achieve their strategic objectives. Mason graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in with a certificated concentration in business and corporate law.
Mason began his legal career with a premier securities litigation firm before moving into a General Counsel role with an industry-leading mortgage lender. In this role, he negotiated mortgage loan purchase agreements totaling billions in sale volume with publicly traded companies, secured and maintained credit facilities worth hundreds of millions to fund company operations, advised executives, boards, and stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters, and oversaw all legal and regulatory aspects of the business.
Concurrently, Mason served as counsel to several other ventures, gaining experience with corporate formation, private offerings, bankruptcy, the restaurant industry, the alcoholic beverage industry, and real estate transactions, among other areas.
Mason believes that a good business attorney helps his clients mitigate risk and resolve disputes, but a great business attorney is committed to his client’s vision and provides creative solutions to the day-to-day problems that businesses face.
Mason is a native San Diegan. He is happy to have been released from the pain of Chargers fandom but is still tortured by the Padres.
